Formed in 2009 in New Braunfels, Texas, Cynergy Advisors is a boutique investment banking firm focused primarily on the energy industry. The Cynergy team has been a party to over $6 billion worth of both upstream and midstream oil and gas transactions. Cynergy has unique and long-standing relationships with many traditional capital sources as well as an extensive family office network that has proven to be a key differentiator over the years.

Kevin Sellers

Founder/Managing Member

Kevin Sellers is the founder and managing member of Cynergy Advisors and a registered representative of JCC Capital Markets. Mr. Sellers has built his reputation through numerous endeavors in the energy sector. Before founding Cynergy, Mr. Sellers owned a series of E&P companies in the Rockies and played a crucial role in taking the companies from prospect to production.

Leadership Capabilities

He directed many areas, including in particular the operations, financial, and strategic direction of these companies; he served in this capacity for five years. Mr. Sellers graduated from Texas State University and currently holds his FINRA Series 7, 63, and 67 Securities Licenses.

Marc W. Jarvis

Managing Member

Mr. Jarvis is an industry veteran, a petroleum engineer with 40 years of experience in various executive, management, and technical positions with small- to large-sized, publicly traded, and independent companies involved in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Jarvis has an extensive background in reserve reporting, corporate planning, risk determination, and modern portfolio modeling. He participated in key roles of value assessment, negotiations, and the successful closing of over $2.5 billion in acquisitions and divestitures.

Reserve Reporting and Portfolio Modeling

He’s experienced in both domestic and international reserve determination and economic analysis. Mr. Jarvis also played a key role in the development of four ground-floor oil and gas ventures that resulted in a viable consulting firm, Gulf Coast E&P division, start-up oil & gas company, and an international North American oil & gas subsidiary.

Guillermo (William)
De Alba

Senior Associate

Mr. De Alba is a senior associate at Cynergy Advisors and a registered representative of JCC Capital Markets, serving in many roles varying from head of business development to analyst and junior investment banker. Mr. De Alba graduated from the McCoy School of Business at Texas State University with a bachelor's in business administration in December of 2013.

Proven Success Generating Transactions

In January 2014, he joined Cynergy Advisors to head business development and has since generated over $600 million in transactions for the firm. Mr. De Alba currently holds his FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 Securities Licenses.
